no secondary butterflies, which depending on who you ask is good or bad; search around a bit on SXOC.com and you'll find quite a few discussions on this.

They nailed it on the head. JDM has 8 port head and butterfly's, the UDM has 4 port head and no butterfly's.

in your opinion float which is better.. i like the butterflys for the low end..(kepeing drifting in mind)...and i think the 8 port would flow better//

butterflys mean nothing just wait for boost or dump the clutch do drift. I've never experienced the valves in action but I've heard numerous accounts of them being useless, or rather unnoticeable

drifitng is not done at all with low end. if you are drifting at 4k rpm you are doing something wrong.

also uk version has a lower rev limint frmo what ive read.

but there are plenty of us (float and myself for example) to state that correctly connected valves DO make a difference

I can tell a difference. I think if they're hooked up CORRECTLY (most people don't) it does make a difference. Now I'm not talking about enough low end grunt to tow a trailer like a deisel, but it helps. I intend on proving how much difference with a dyno soon.

yeh i'm stupid im 17 and trying to learn about the CA now just because i think sr's are over-rated and i hate drag racing and i dont need that much power for drifting.... either way... what do u guys mean by saying "correctly hooked up valves"--- what valves are you talking about like valves in the head or some fuel or by-pass or something? I'm extremely new and extremely interested in the CA cause i think the Iron can take more punishment and if i do overheat it it'll be harder to do it than on an SR aluminum can

There is plenty of info on how to "correctly" hook up the actuating system for the secondary butterflies in the intake manifold. Try the sticky threads up top or the search button for all the diagrams and part numbers.

This is what they meant by "valves".
