I’ve been tracking sales of Altima coupes on cars.com and cargurus.com for some time time now, and based upon the estimate that Nissan produced 176,000 Altima coupes from 2007 to 2014, I’ve extrapolated the following production estimates:

Six Cylinders: 19.1% of total - 33,425 units
Manual Trans: 04.2% of total - 7,366 units
V6 w/ MTX: O1.8% of total - 3,150 units

There’s a good chance that the manuals may be over-represented in the current used car market, because they’re more durable, in which case, the production figures for them would actually be lower.

I didn’t realize how rare our ‘08 Coupe SE 3.5 6sp is.

Excellent car till last fall, when @120k a $30 throw out mechanism failed and $2400 later (current value of the car) we are back in business. 17 hours of labor and the tech said there was maybe 40k left on the system and not wanting to go in again I R&R’ed everything under the bell housing. Wish I had stockpiled some of the rare bits since the DM Flywheel was a bear to source and held up the job when a wrong part arrived and I had to buy one at full dealer retail .

Once again, the car runs like new with only routine maintenance, serp belt, slotted/cross drilled rotors and new front struts.

I’m a little concerned I’ve left the OEM iridium plugs in, but no symptoms of trouble (30 hwy/22 city) and folks who have replaced them at my mileage say they look like the ones they put in.

Seizure in the head may be an issue but my mechanic said heat, a soaking of release fluid and patience will get them out.

I’m 75 and plan to own this car till death do us part...whose death remains to be seen .

Interesting figures! I had no idea how few the V6 w/ MTX models.

i wonder how many 3.5 sr manual coupes were made in 2012. salesman told me the manual was a special order and 12 was the last year for it.
