About a month ago I promised to take some pictures of how I ran my intercooler piping for someone who's name I can't remember. This is for you.http://www3.telus.net/kreenhttp://www3. ... iping.html

nice man, nice page (and car!) ya got there. I'm considering doing something similar with the IC piping, but I'm not about to do all those welds myself... I donno I guess I'll figure it out when I get there.

if my **** looks half that good I'll be surprised. Why recirculate the bov across the engine bay? what made you decide to do this instead of from the hot pipe?

how come you didnt just put a breather filter from the line off the valve cover?

Thansk for the comments.

Why the BOV is like that:Everything I read said you want the BOV as close to the throttle body as possible, so that's where I put it. I also theorised the when you recirculate from the hot pipe the hot un-intercooled air has many passes throught the turbo heating it up even more. When you get on the gas after a shift you are getting hot, compressed air, look out for detonation. Besides a stainless tube looks cool.

Breather filter: I like breathing clean air. I'm sure you do as well. I'll spend $2.50 on a hose and clamps to keep the air clean instead of $20 on a small K&N filter for my crankcase.

I am tempted to have it all polished but that will probably never happen. I might get the top tube & turbo inlet pipe done though.

The more pressing question is:

Why not catch tank instead of back into intake? It gums up the tract over time with oil and blow by gasses, not all that great for a turbo. And with a catch tank, it doesnt harm the air =) You just dump it when it is getting full, prolly at an oil recycling place...no worse than an oil change.

that is a good idea of how you ran your ic pipes. i was planning on running the cold pipe back across the top of the IC and back out where the hot pipe comes down, then across the top of the radiator where the intake used to go. but your way looks easier.

I do want to put in a catch can, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll make it out of some leftover stainless tubing I have laying around....Mmmm stainless...
