Got the engine in March and here it is now:

Its coming along nicely. I may just be able to drop it in this week if all goes good. Speaking of dropping things, I took off the flywheel to replace and add a few things and I never thought the stock flywheel weighs 213098 pounds. I unbolted it and had my hand underneath it to hold it up. When It came fully unbolted, I thought it weighed about 15 pounds and the thing fell about a foot on to my middle finger. It landed with only about 2 of the teeth of the flywheel crushing my finger. It broke in 3 places and the finger is rock hard. It happened last night and the finger was black, blue, green, purple, with lots of blood coming out from under the nail =/. Today (26 hours later) it's looking a bit better. It's still about double the size of what it should be but it doesnt hurt, so thats the good thing.

Ouch! Yeah, the RWD flywheel weighs 27 pounds. Deceiving, I know. When I first saw your motor, I was like, "WTF is up with that turbo. Then I realized its a FWD motor...lol.

Yup, Bluebirds have them... They come in FWD and AWD IIRC.

it was a RWD CA18 but Rafic converted it over to a FWD before he sent it out to me. The engine also came out of an automatic so I needed to mod it a bit so I could run the 5spd transmission with it.

here's a photo of my old 4WD Bluebird CA18DET

bummer about the finger mate, I know I wouldn't want to drop a CA flywheel on mine!
