Yello!

Soo... after recent visits to dealership... I think it is time to abandon the very idea of buying engine oil filters there.
T32 - https://parts.nissanusa.com/parts/nissa ... 1520865f0e - 7.49USD . Dealership charged me 14.79+VAT. Rockauto (without shipping) has Mahle for ~4usd, Denso ~7usd. https://www.rockauto.com/en/partsearch/ ... 1520865f0e

T33 - https://parts.nissanusa.com/parts/nissa ... 1520865f1e - 7.62USD. Dealership charged me ~12USD. Rockauto (without shipping) has some manufacturers which don't seem to be "serious"(not known to me) brands - Vaico, Ackoja... https://www.rockauto.com/en/partsearch/ ... 1520865f1e

what are recommended engine oil filter manufacturers?
or buy oem filters at parts.nissanusa.com (anybody has experience?)?

There are lots of filters better than the Mahles that Nissan uses for OE. Surprisingly, one of the ones getting consistent kudos in almost every comparison I've seen is Walmart Super Tech. For ultimate quality most comparisons agree that Mobil1 filters are hard to beat, but you can buy three ST's for the price of a Mobil1 and I don't see the point unless you race or off-road. The one brand I'd stay away from is Fram, those guys are having some serious QC problems lately. Internal rust in brand new filters and lots of sloppy glue.

The OTC prices at the dealership don't surprise me in the slightest. They all charge "list plus" and list is already on the north side of stupid. Unless it's for warranty purposes, get a good aftermarket brand.

hm... interesting that Walmarts SuperTech ST6607 matches both - 15208-65F0E and 15208-65F1E... is that really so? do you know what are differences on these two?

I don't, but honestly, Nissan changes oil filter part numbers so frequently it's a f#cking merry-go-round. I don't think anybody but Nissan DPIC could tell you what the differences are, and they won't tell anybody. Not even our parts guys can get good information about that.

Since I started doing the maintenance on my Rogue I've only really used the store brand (Motomaster from CanTire) and it's been fine the 8 odd years I've been driving it. I used to buy Fram in a pinch, but I guess I'll definitely stay away from them from now on.

My dealer sells them for $23.95 per three but you can't mix and match, they must all be the same filter. About the same price as above but you only have to pay sales tax, no shipping. That was good at one point because all my Nissans used the same filter. Not so much now because they don't.

I use Purolator L14610 with no issues. Mostly because the low price as they are sold for around $5 each at Menards. Always in stock and I usually just end up buying at the same time I get the oil when it's on sale.

Sorry for the late response but I just noticed the OPs original question about "parts.nissanusa.com". It seems to be connected to Leith which owns many and various dealerships. When I order from them I can pick it up at my local Leith Nissan that's 2 miles from my house, no shipping. Thanks for the reminder! I had lost track of the link. Just ordered some filters.

Not sure how this equates to other locations.

Out of curiosity, I checked the official Canadian Nissan parts website for oil filters... and :wtf2: it was a bit pricier than I expected. Guess will stick to my store brand.

That's what I found with other Nissan parts websites.
