engine makes noise

My engine makes noise any thing to worry about, sounds like a metal to metal.Thanks:help

Well, hmmm, I think I know exactly what you are talking about :rolleyes

Why don't you try asking again, and try not to be so vague next time.

Where is the sound coming from, what engine do you have, what year is your car, what do you have to do to get the engine to make the noise.... all fine points to start with.

well its a 89 with a engine ka24e and you must start it and the noise starts when you start it and it comes from the front.

well my engine makes noise too and it does come from the front. Maybe open the hood up and try pinpointing it?

It rattles on startup for a few seconds?

Does it make a tick of somesort?? Mine rattled alot when i started it, then the rattle lasted longer, then it changed to a tick/rattle of somesort and then boom!!! My engine went :(

If you havent replaced, I would defiently look into that.

KA24E...

Sorry to say it, but you might be experiencing the infamous timing chain problem. The reason a number of ex KA24E owners (like myself) now have SR's.

If you don't know what it is, tell me, I will explain later. I'm too tired right now.
