Happy holidays everyone!!

It seems as soon as I start spending money and time on my 240 build, my Q starts acting up!

C'est la vie

On the freeway, after driving for approximately an hour, jamming along at around 85 MPH, the car will instantly lose power. The throttle will not respond at all. Then after 10-15 seconds or so of coasting, the throttle responds again, and the car is back to normal. A few times this has happened, the radio starts to go crazy mayµe 15 minutes or so before the throttle goes out. The radio beeps rapidly like someone is forwarding the song or to the next disc.

It seems like it's going to be an ECU problem, just a guess.

Any ideas?

All the best,
~HollywoodJackson~

Before anything, check ALL of your grounding points. Corrosion on grounds is nothing new here, we've been dealing with it since the 1990 Q45!

Disconnect the grounds, wire wheel the mating surfaces, reinstall. I'd bet money on a bad ground.

Sounds like the OP needs a new crankshaft or camshaft sensor.

This happened to me on my 03, Got new camshaft sensors. Swapped out the 2 in the front and the one under the car and under the fan reservoir. Problem went away

Camshaft sensor. Mine died on the freeway and this solved it.
