I just had the top end rebuilt then after a few weeks got a loud knocking noise like two hammers hitting and was told this was the bottom end?????????????? Iv verbally rang a Nissan garage Auto FIX UK.. AND WAS TOLD IT WILL BE £1150 to fix it??

any one got any suggestions of an mechanic that is trust worthy first??

also what do you think about the engine as above

Did this happen right after the engine was put back together? What is the mileage/kms on ur engine? Was there oil in the engine? Take a close listen make sure the sound is coming from the bottom of the engine and not the heads. If it is the bottom end... rebuild is teh story. Also if get under the car and remove the oil pan you can wiggle the rods and see which one is loose and check the pan for debris. The most trusty mechanics are the Z specialists (dont take it to a dealer though, anyone here will tell u that )Good luck to ya man!

sounds like whoever "rebuilt" your engine missed something or did something wrong, a knock is a rod bearing issue, so they either installed one or more wrong or not at all, or used a standard where they should have used an oversized bearing
