How do i check to see if i have a bad lifter in my 96 2.4l. Any info would be helpfull

If the 'clacking' sound is coming from under the valve cover there is a 95% chance it's the rocker arms. Very common with these engines.

Should i b able to push down on the rocker about 1/8 inch i have two that i can push down
