Hey guys -

Picked up a 93 n/a recently. Have this intermittent chirp, happens only certain days with no rhyme or reason. Thinking its a bad bearing in something in the accessory or timing belt line.

Had it at a local shop for something else and mechanic there said he thought it was coming from inside engine (i.e. under timing cover)...

Check out this video:

Thoughts? Debating whether or not to pay someone to do the timing belt and whatever else I should change or do it my self...

Not able to see the video, but a couple of suggestions.
First off the belts will produce several types of chirps and squeeks at times, usually due to a foreign substance on the pullies/belts, improper tension, or worn belts.
Belt dressing often can clear this up, or new belts or adjustments of the alt and ps pump belts. Also, check the idler for the A/C belt as it can be the sound as well, down low and close to the engine.
If no improvement, then if it definitely is coming from under the timing cover then it could be a timing belt tensioner failing which would DEFINITELY mean a tb change, and 120K service just because.
Hope this helps!
