What's up Nicoclub members! I'm requesting pictures of the Z32's engine room wire harness removed so that I can see the wires separated. The reason is because I want to relocate it,shorten it, and tuck it under my dashboard; but before I do that, I want to get an idea as to how hard it will be. On the 1996 FSM, the page I'm looking at is EL- pg.276. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.

A google search on z32 tuck shave and 300zx tuck shave will get you lots of pics and info. Some of the people who posted may be willing to share ideas with you.

Here is a link to a recent 300zx General Forum post:
my-budget-build-thread-you-have-to-lear ... 01452.html

I have already asked the creator of the post to explain more in depth about how he did his tuck, but the post has lots of pictures that may help you get an idea of how much work it will be. He did an AMAZING job tucking his engine bay... Hope he posts back soon as to what all he did and how he went about doing it. He even moved his power steering reservoir to some of the un-used space under the bumper.

My main question to him was whether or not you have to lengthen the wires on the harness in order to move the under-hood fuse box. Seems like it would be a big project to lengthen 30 wires by 5 feet to get them under the dash...

Good luck with your build BTW!!!

Thanks for your quick responses. I also want to relocate my engine fuse box to under the dash. But I realized it will be a little too time consuming from my experience tucking and re-routing the engine harness. For now I will postpone this task. If any of u guys do the tuck, please post detailed pics. LaterZ !
