First of all, I want to thank everyone here who has ever given me advice or instruction in regards to repairs or problems I encountered while a part of this board. You all have been truly helpful.

I bought a new 2001 Infiniti I30t on September 10, 2000. It had 76 miles on it when I drove it off of the lot. Titanium Metallic with Sage interior. The 6-disc CD changer, rear spoiler and side spoilers were the only options added. I bought this car after driving a 1995 Nissan Altima (same color scheme) for 5 years, and was ecstatic over my upgrade in vehicles. Truly a joy to be the owner of a new Infiniti.

Over the next 11 years and 2 months, I would grow as a person, and achieve many goals in my life. I met my soon-to-be wife 9 months after buying the car, and was married 11 months after that. Throughout it's time with me it would see a bulldog and three children in its seats.

No accidents. No dents in need of "popping out". Car looked to be new from the exterior.

I encountered several issues mechanically, some of which I came here for advice and instruction. Here is a list of what needed to be repaired'replaced: Front right axle (basically entire assembly up there), left front axle, radiator replaced, 2 starters installed, A/C compressor replaced, power steering high pressure hose replaced, motor mount in front of car replaced, fan belt, alternator, fan assembly, A/C blower motor, right low beam Xenon headlight, left fog light (right fog light burned out but it was a pain to replace so i left them off), various other lights, valve cover gaskets replaced, oil pressure sensor replaced (source of major leakage), MAF sensor replaced, coolant resevoir replaced...i think that is it. I kept all of my service records and receipts for repairs, tire repairs/purchases and oil changes. A grand total of just over $10,000 was spent in 11 years and 2 months to keep that car running, not including gas.

Repairs not made: driver window not staying up when raised in auto mode, driver seat not moving forward with controls, driver seat leather tears, console surface tears, floor mats (heel worn through mat in driver's seat and partially through floor material, trunk torque rod broke free and trunk had to be manually lifted and supported, right fog light as mentioned, rear sub-woofer, in-dash CD player.

This was a fantastic car for me. Hated to let it go, but I did. I sold it to a co-worker's 17 year old son for him to enjoy. I had planned to drive it for 10 years at the least when I bought it, and succeeded. Total mileage was ~189,600.

Take care guys. If I ever come back to Infiniti, I will see you here. I will, however, see the Nissan guys a bit. We have a 2009 Quest that I am sure will need repairs after the warranty runs out.

Thank you Max. You, sir, are one of the members I thanked in the OP. You have been most helpful directly and indirectly.

Hope to see you again. I'm just surprised you have replaced more parts than expected. In fact, the list of parts you mentioned are more than the parts I have replaced in both the 97 and 99 I30s. I keep track of my maintenance activities, currently 40 pages of Word document.

Yes, it is quite a list of repairs/replacements. However, the major components didn't fail. Engine, transmission, timing belt. I didn't have a problem with replacing smaller parts when needed. It seemed like it happened too often for this particular car but I didn't mind it.
