Thanks for the update man!

Just so I understand, you have been using a EMUSA turbo you bought from Speedy Racer? If So, what turbo was it?

Yo dcream, thanks for the update. Because of your feedback, the price, and warranty i just had to get one to replace my CXRacing. My CXR with the exact same specs lasted 1.5 year and now has axle and radial shaft play. I just purchased this model:

I will post back when i get it and keep this thread updated with its performance, reliability, and the customer service (hopefully i won't need).
And thanks WD for the info on how to tell if it has been balanced or not. Very helpful.

Got my EMUSA turbo today and i was pretty impressed. Very well packaged and overall great condition. It did have signs of the nut on the exhaust wheel shaved off. It also appears that when compared to the pics in the first post that EMUSA has come a long way. Here is a flickr link of some pics i took of it.

That link doesn't aim me at any of your pictures.

Glad your turbo looks good though. Also, it would be very cool if you could document the entire process for me. From selection, to purchase, unboxing, inspection and then install. With like monthly inspections for shaft play.

I'd like to document this and make it into an article.

I can probably get Greg to throw you some Nico schwag for the trouble if you're interested. Let me know, I'll ask you some questions too get things started.

ALERT as of 12-10-2014 I have reviewed the EMUSA brand of turbo's and have found them to be just as hit or miss as the other knock-off Chinese Ebay turbos. BUYER BEWARE!

IMHO, it's a better idea to buy a used name brand turbo and have it rebuilt.
