Alright guys... I am at a stand still... I dont know what to do anymore. I cant pass...

Numbers From a couple months agoMine | State legalHydrocarbon 3.47 | 1.00Carbon Monoxide 90.49 | 12.00Oxide of Nitrogen 0.41 | 2.50

Thats going in with a stock CA, SSQV, 2.5in silvia exhaust

New Numbers

Mine | State legalHydrocarbon 4.16| 1.00Carbon Monoxide 124.21 | 12.00Oxide of Nitrogen 0.0 | 2.50

I took off the SSQV and Added 2 cats on the the 2.5in (3 cats in total)

So I finally decided to hook up the SAFC... Now I cant get it to rev past 2k rpm unless I return the MAF wire back to stock... Its like the SAFC added a rev limiter at 2k....

Any help?

I don't believe you have your safcII hooked up right, if the maf is not hooked up, your engine won't rev over 2k rpm, so in this case, your safcII isn't hooked up right which assuming that there is no maf is hooked up.

fix your safcII and your engine should rev over 2k rpm

GOOD LUCKRafiPULSAR GTR

Ok I looked at the wiring... Ever thing seems to be in the right order... But Does it mater if the brown and black ground wires arent a cm apart??? And its just the SAFC not II... It wont rev past 2k if it is hooked up to the SAFC... When I disconnected the MAF wire its back to normal... but everything else is registering... I got TH position and RPM

wow, something definitely isn't right with your setup. I passed GA emissions with flying colors, nothing but a carsound hi-flow cat, so it is possible.

Maybe stupid questions, but are you getting the car warm and running high octane gas?

I hate driving cold cars, so i always run the car for 10mins before driving... Took me about 20mins to get to the emisson testing center and i run nothing but 91... Oh and I forgot to mention that a friend of mine who's a honda tech, told me to run some alcohol in the car before i got there... So would that might of hurt me??

PS- just found out *COUGH* Theres a chance none of my emisson stuff are hooked up *COUGH* I was wondering why I never got a check engine light....

Please help me I dont know what to do anymore... I dont want to sell my car

It was correct... yellow to ecu, white to MAF. Would it do the same thing if the MAF was bad? I mean... It would explain why my car is running rediculously rich right?

I passed in Tn. I had a 3in Catco cat. I had my safc2 hooked up so I could lean it out and it passed after the second try. Yea make sure you have the inlet and return wires right on the safc( the yellow and white ones) something is right with the wiring if its only revving to 2000 rpm.

Im know I am going to need 2 cats to pass in Maryland, they are really strict here (not like California, but you get the idea). I know somebody from the emissions testing place who has a CA18DET in a NX1600 and his monoxide numbers were just not low enough with one cat. I guess I am going to have to get a special test pipe made to put in its place during everyday driving.
