No emissions test in TX? Are you trying to clean up the look of the engine compartment, or just make it run better? Because you can just unplug some of the emissions accessories and plug the lines instead of removing them completely. this makes for an easy re-hook up in case a potential buyer is anal about that s***. You need to leave the MAP sensor hooked up to its vacuum line though. The 240 has a MAF instead. In case you dont know the difference, MAP sensor measures Manifold Absolute Pressure, and MAF is Mass Air Flow. thats the only difference I can think of right now. After I bypassed my EGR, my intake manifold retains its vacuum instead of leaking exhaust into it on lift throttle. I also bypassed my throttle body heater, and removed my thermostat. It still gets warm, and no it doesn't take a half hour to warm up either. In the winter, I may need to block the radiator with a winterfront to combat hyper-cooling. But now in the warmer months up here in Michigan, it runs just off the needle, nice and cool. Hope you can make some sense of my long a** post, no I will no upload any pics, but I can try and explain things if you want me to.

nope no emissions in the county i live in...and yes i want to get rid of everything for both reasons honestly...i have a fsm for a 96 hardbody and i also have the write up on ka-t.org about doin this on a 240, i was just wondering if i can just use the 2 and get the results i need.....i.e. remove the same parts from the truck that the write up on the 240 says to remove....
