Its been done but it will run like total crap and you'll have a cel. Why exactly do you want to remove it?

There's an idle adjustment screw on the throttle body? If so, where is it? I have a high idle problem (1500rpm-1700rpm) and I've changed the IACV (IAA) and everything else corrisponding to a high idle problem. The KA24DE has SR20DET injectors and a 300ZX fuel filter. They were installed from the previous owner and I'm about to ring his head with a friggin' ratchet! Anyway, maybe the idle adjustment screw on the throttle body will help me out with this. I got a Code 34 (knock sensor) too but I highly doubt it'll throw my idle up. Anyway, PLEASE HELP! Thank you!

About the IACV, I don't think you can't toss it. Unless you want my problem then go ahead n' block plate it and see what happends!

my purpose for removing this it's because my car idles like crap, more like a have a cam the size of Jupiter, and i think that the iacv is cusing this, and they don't come cheap... so if anybody has more input please help!!!!

oh and... yes the idler screw on the t/b its located right below the little pulley where your throtle cable hooks up to, that is probably why you've never seen it, and it is also a PITA to get to...

save up a little more money and get a new one, it will pay off in the long run. you shouldnt remove something if its already there, the engine was designed for it to be there
