So yesterday the wife and I were picking up some food in our 2018. I was setting outside waiting and noticed the tire light flashing. I toggled over to the psi display and the left rear tire wasn’t showing how much air pressure was in the tire. Then, the hazard lights flashed a couple times and the horn honked. I shut the car off and when the wife got back in I restarted and drove off and everything was fine. Could this just be a tpms sensor going bad or something worse electronically? At 87k I can honestly say that this car has been as good of a vehicle as I’ve ever owned. Brakes, tires and maintenance. Vstar?

Your car has that "easy fill" stuff in the BCM, and the honk and flash is most likely because the BCM thought the tire was being inflated. That means the probable culprit is an issue with the measurement circuit in the sensor which wasn't reading. Could just be a one-time glitch, but if it happens again I'd start by replacing the sensor.

Appreciate it Vstar! A sensor isn’t a big deal. I drove it around all day and it’s been fine so hopefully it was a one off.
