as in my last post, every once in a while my car won't start. and its because the ECU isn't powering up all the way. i tried 1st by grounding all the grounds on my ECU to the negative battery terminal. all the grounds now read only 1-3ohms resistance. but still, my ECU sometimes will not power up all the way. i checked all the power wires, they are all good and putting out 12 volts when using the ECU grounds for grounds. is there a posibility that my ECU has something wrong inside?

checked the power from the ignition switch itself? maybe its intermittent so it doesn't see the need to turn "on"

just checked that PIN on the ECU. its good. the ECU is coming on, but it doesn't seem to be coming on all the way. the lights on the back are very dim. but when they are bright, the car runs great.

do the rest of your lights in the car dim at all?

nope, everything in the car has battery voltage (12.5 volts). pins 49,58,59 and 109 also have battery voltage (as they should) and pins 10,20, 50,60(grounds) all test at less than 3 ohms resistance now. the only thing left for me to assume is the ECU.

could be, no telling if the blitz works or even what its meant for.

being its probably a stock one modified by blitz no telling what that's done to its relaibility over time

you might also check how far you've bolted in the ECU connector.. my KA-E was particularly picky, if I crammed it all the way in it wouldn't work right.. try and get the little orange thing to line up with the rest of the blue part around it..

little orange thing? if your talking about a mark on the cover for the ecu wires (the white thing) mines been gone for a long time. and i've sat and tried slowly putting my ECU on before, to no avail.

nah if you look next to the bolt that holds the plug in .. there's a little orange pin that comes out as you tighten it, on my KA-E I had to make it flush w/ the blue part of the harness connector around it or it was wonky.. the CA hasn't seemed to be nearly as picky tho.
