yessss, you might be wondering whats this free exhaust mod that I'm talking about. A picture is worth a thousand words:

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpH0twSNMFQ

WARNING: I CAN'T BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS STUPID MOD. USE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT!you might loose the nuts and/or the bolts because the whole exhaust normally vibrate.it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that the WHOLE muffler might fall off, because there are two hangers holding it. Really Bad case scenario is the front of the muffler touching the ground if the bolts break or fall off and it being dragged on the road with sparks flying. WORST CASE SCENARIO IS FIREHAZARD, EXPLOSION OF THE FUEL TANK AND/OR DEATH.

ok now that you've been warned.

Instructions: Start unbolting the muffler part of the exhaust, you don't need to lift the car. Use a 10/16 socket and if it's too rusty use an impact wrench it will come off. leave space just like on the picture. NOT MORE or it will sound really loud and it will have more chances of fall off. For extra safety I've added epoxy glue at the end of the nut and around it.

ENJOY! (LOL!)

Impressions: SOUNDS LIKE a burbling v8 and DOESN'T DRONE. I'm not afraid that my nuts will fall off (lol...) because there a ton of rust on the end of the bolt. yeah it's a nice mods for everyone cheapo or that's going at a meet and wants to get funny reactions from people.

I'm uploading the video, sounds mean! In cabin it's really just a little louder than stock, which is a big plus!

Oh and how much does switching the muffler for the y-pipe cost?? That sounded really nice too!

the only thing i would maybe worry about is the bolts actually shearring off and wearing thin.

the vibration will slow grind down the bolt or worse the holes on the pipe.

UPDATE: Damn! I think my car just lost all of it's low end grunt lol. I'm re bolting it lol. the vq needs it's back pressure bad lol! Sounds nice though, like the artisan but less powerfull at low rev (sound and HP that is lol). stock exhaust give a lot more low end torque. so like I said it's a nice temp mod to impress the friends lol. but I wouldn't run that at the track or daily

or at the track? thats how i got my times! lol its been proven, its faster at the track with no muffler on our cars... but it does sort of suck at low power... once you hit 3k RPM you're good and once you hit about 4,500 RPM it starts to pull and at 5k+ its just bad a** with its ability to pull and how it screams
