my EGR pipe from the exhaust manifold coming out to the other side of the motor has been block off on both sides.. also have a few vaccum lines pluged off.. thats the way the truck was recived... truck runs but idles up and then back down.. and all over again.. i belive its the TPS but its could be the throttle body gasket because its permatex down... im afraid there may be a leak.. getting to much air thats my theory.. any suggestions id appreciate it.. will be getting my TB gasket tommorrow to check that out..

check to see if the EGR is properly blocked off and the vacuum lines properly closed as well. if they are, you're best bet is to just replace all your vacuum lines. it never hurts and will have a 95%+ chance of fixing the problem.when i blocked my EGR it showed weaknesses within the other vacuum lines causing the same problem you have and finding them was nearly impossible. i replaced them and everything was good to go.
