Egine Wire Harness

I have an s-14 and my car just stopped wroking so i checked everything and found that underneath my wire harness a wire melted through. So is there a way to replace that wire or do I need to get another wire harness?Plus the only plug when taking the wire harness off that was burnt and melted was the clip to the automatic speed control pump. So does that mean i have to replace that as well the inside of clip to the pump looks fine after i cleaned all the melted plastic out.

As for the wiring, you need to cut out the bad section and wire in a new, not melted wire. As far as the plug working or not, the only way to know for sure is to fix the wire and then try it out.

it's actually melted to the clips behind the ecm. it was a wire from the distributor and it took out a couple of wires. how do i replace them? can i just section them off and use any type of wire?
