ECU?

Hi Guys, I'm new to the forum. Ok I have a 1994 300zx Slicktop that needs an ECU. Thing is, I luckily found another ECU for sale of the same year but the codes don't match. Do the codes have to match in order for the ECU to work? Or will it work no matter the code or year? Please help

I'd say plug it in an find out, as long as you know it's a good ecu,

It's been a little while since you posted this...so I imagine you already figured it out, but there are a couple websites that show compatibility, like this one: http://jimwolftechnology.com/wolfpdf/ecu-id.pdf

The codes don't have to specifically match, but there are some things to check, like manual vs automatic and California vs Fed, etc.
