ECU interchangeability??

I have a 94 VH and ECU, but I've been told that I need an 8-bit ECU if I want to reprogram it.

So I picked up an ECU from a 1990 Q45 and want to know what if anything needs to be done so I can run it on my 1994 motor.

I have a pinout for a 1994 ECU, but I can't find one for a 1990 ECU to compare, plus, ECU's (in cars) aren't really my specialty...........

just plug it in , it works, no worries!!!
