I have a '95 240 and I am purchasing all of the parts for an auto to manual transmission swap. I did notice the post in the installs section about how to do it and what is needed, but I didn't know if you needed a new ECU when doing this. If this is so, somebody let me know so I won't have to pay extra $$ for one.

yes, you will need a manual ECU.
