I just realized that there's a 78 ECU and a 98 ECU out there. I have a 98 ECU. What's the difference between the two? Thanks.

i'm running a 98 ECU right now. but my engine came with a 78. the only difference in mine is that my 98 ECU is tuned by MINES. i don't really think there is any difference.

78,79,98,99 ecus are all interchangable and they should work fine as I have used them before.

78,79 I believe one is auto and one is manual and same thing with the 98,99 but they all work without any issues.
