I know that I looked high and low for my STB, so if anyone needs one, here is a good start!

I'm still hoping to get my cheap one to work. It fit before the CA. I'm gonna use a hydraulic press and a little creativity. Damn Gangstalean.....

it was the older "oval" style with a bit of a rise to clear the intake.

Also, the same style as the one up on ebay right now sold on zilvia for like $75 bucks, I asked him if it cleared CA but he didn't know and I didn't want to pay that much to chance it. Guess it was a good deal, but it sold a while ago.I wouldn't ever pay that much for a strut tower bar, over $100 is just too much.

Are you talking about one of these?

I had to pay a bit more than $125 ($200 shipped) and wait for the slow boat from Japan, but I am glad that I did. It is a great STB.

yeah it was one of those, it was like $150 shiped I think.Nice, but more than I'd like to pay. with the CA it might just be easier to get fender braces...

Think this would clear the CA plenum? (there are rear ones from DC also)

maybe, but I don't think so. There is a picture of one installed on a 240 with a KA in sept's "modified mag" and it looks like it mostly curves back towards the firewall, not up. It doesn't look like it has enough clearance for CA.

I've got a cheap strut bar that's made from what appears to be aluminum. Is there a simple way to bend that stuff without something like a mandrel bender? Last time I tried hooking it in a vice and pulling it just kinda snapped back to where it had been before.

probably a press, though I wouldn't be surprised if it cracks if you press it into shape. Applying heat might help. The problem that I see with that is that the bar is __X__ length, and if you bend it then its curved and is __X__-length of bend... too short!

Unless they got another one, that one was sold....to me Those guys are great to work with, they just take a while to ship since they list some of their stuff before it reaches US shores.
