I've had good luck using http://www.auctionsniper.com

Places your bid in the last 5 seconds of the auction. Doesn't guarantee you will win, but keeps the bidding activity low until the end of the auction. Works especially nice if you are away from a computer when an auction ends.

I don't think I've outbid anyone, so far the only Q45 related merchandise I've got off of ebay is the car. I got it for $4500, Arizona car with 138k miles.
