Stock CA18DET engine, well almost! Just running 2 x standard headgasket:

382.8bhp & 326.2lbft @ HUBS or285.45kW & 441.77Nm @ HUBS

1.7 bar on an SSA T70 (=Garrett T61 copy I believe)

Is this the highest power non-forged CA? Please let me know cos I've got more boost to spare

Good looking numbers there fox. Is this on pump gas? were you fighting detonation? It looks to me like you could lean it out a little and gain some more power in the top end and run it out a little further on the revs and gain a lot of width in that power band.

My CA hasnt run in a while and Idk where my sheet is but here was my power and mods.
(I think all this is correct, It's been 2 years since I dyno'd)

244whp/227wtq on Dynojet @ 14psi 93 octane

Stock CA18DET
SR T25
AEM Dry Flow filter
3" muffler shop exhaust (crush bent) with stock O2 housing
Godspeed fmic
Turbo XS RFL BOV
Stock injectors @ 4bar
N60 maf
SAFC (for maf cal and trim a little fuel down low)
HKS EVC 6 boost controller
HKS Type 0 timer
ACT Extreme 6 puck on stock flywheel
J30 3.9 VLSD
17* base timing

I didnt have a wideband in my car at the time but IIRC the wideband they used on the dyno was somewhere around low 11's but dont hold me to that. I'll find my sheet one day and I'll edit this post by uploading it

The boost is about 2.5psi lower then what the graph shows. the higher boost pull had spark blow out.

stock motor with head studs.
n60maf
560cc injectors
62mm turbo
full 3" exhaust.

Just got mine dyno'd today:

Image
147whp 160wtq

Mods:
None to note
1 worn out CA18DET
Small ebay FMIC
"stock" wastegate pressure on stock T25 (somewhere between 10 and 12 I think with a spike as high as 14 on a worn out wastegate actuator and 3" long exhaust after stock turbo elbow)

I say 10-12psi because my gauge reads about 10 when everything is settled out, but when the car is off the needle sits about 2psi below 0.

I think your gauge is fubared. Pressure on stock T25 is about 7psi. Maybe if the diaphragm is a bit leaky, it'd run a bit more I guess. Regardless, it looks like it's pretty consistent and runs well. Most importantly, do you enjoy it?

Oh yeah, definitely. I wouldn't care if it dyno'd at 80whp, because I still spin 2nd just from power. A dyno is just for point of reference, so as long as the dyno is consistent and will show what changes I make do to its performance I'll be happy.

I have some cheap GlowShift gauges, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were off. I had heard with a free-flowing exhaust the stock wastegate will make 10psi, so I figured if I had a worn out actuator on top of that it'd be close to twelve. It performs slightly different every day, and every once in a blue moon I'll hit boost cut.

I dont trust Arthurs dyno too much cause his is what said my stock CA with SR T25 at 14psi made 240whp. Idk, I was happy when I saw that but the more I think about it that cant be right, thats high for a T25 CA

Well like I said, as long as it'll perform consistently I'll be happy.

I may be wrong here, but from what I've gathered from other people's number I have a theory about how much a CA will make given certain mods. I think the stock cams will make max power at close to 7200rpm. If that is the case then here's what I think:

Stock power = 175hp @ 6400rpm and 7psi boost (21.7MAP)
175/6400*7200=196.875
196.875/21.7*28.7=260.38306

Idk how much drivetrain loss there really is, so Arthur's dyno may be a bit high, but you may have been able to 260hp at the crank on 14psi if the turbo wasn't choking up there. Especially considering your lager than stock exhaust and FMIC.

Even if the cams will only breath up to 6800rpm, that's still (theoretically) 246hp. Yes, the factory spec is for a new motor, and all of ours are worn out a bit when we get them, but we also usually have some minor upgrades that may make up the difference. At least this is all my speculation anyways.

OEM injectors (370cc)
OEM MAF

there's an instability with my BC, I don't know why, but I'll resolve it.
