theres 2 things that need to be remembered about this dyno. 1, since the car was so low they had to dyno it in AWD mode they were not able to do it in FWD mode like usual and 2, it's a mustang dyno which reads real low to begin with so the numbers would have been low already. Also it was 100 outside roughly here in Houston today tack on about another 15-30 degrees in the actual dyno area you have ALOT of heat soak coming in. so your probably looking around 220-230whp roughlynogears909 wrote:thats seems like alot of drivetrain loss, maybe its just me
its on the way rofl...i get more txt messages about that then anythingmarcelo929 wrote:yeah he bought the foxmarketing coupe without the turbo. so its more like a 70-80hp drivetrain loss
We had to dyno in awd mode cause of the muffler lol thing is frigign huge and the car is so low. He sold he evo a while back, hes drivin an ISF now I ran it last night and got eaten up.08altima35 wrote:mine dyno'd 223 on a mustang dyno with only the injen intake installed on a 100+ day so there's about 50 hp loss from motor to wheels if nissans 270hp claims are actually correct.
Peteyd? Is you car going in the shop for the turbo install and that's why you dyno'd it? Hit me up when you get it done and I'll drive out to houston and we can go cruising and maybe we can get kenny to take the evo x out with us and bring us both back down to earth.
fa sho..i'm hopefully gonna show the car at HIN in dallas in october so we'll see how that plays out.08altima35 wrote:sold the evo? damn, been a long time since i've been by there.
Yeah, let me know. Or if you want a early taste of what the turbo installed feels like email me and we could meet up one weekend when I'm not in Dallas.
I 've never seen any 3.5L 4th gen Altima sedan or A/C 6spd dyno this low...our car normally dynos in the 220's-230's in stock form... just like the G35's and the 350Z's do.. no sense in anyone getting all worked up over a low dyno read out.... wrong platform testing (AWD vs FRD) and high heat can change a lot..peteyd wrote:It put down 200whp roughly with intake/exhaust/6spd. We had to dyno the car in AWD mode since the car was too low to get up on the dyno. It was done on a Mustang Dyno, if I had a scanner I would scan them in but I dont and its hot as hell and I dont feel like looking for one .
wrd which we were guessing it would be around 220ish but due to the high heat and going in awd mode it would be lessrjdmmfl1 wrote:

true dat. 0-60 and 1/4miles ftwrjdmmfl1 wrote:2 be honest, I don't believe any of these dynos... we've got guys on here that have dyno'd their 6 spd 4th gen Sedans and seen 250 whp with only an intake and an exhaust running on 20" wheels... sorry, I don't believe that for a second... the only number's that really matter IMO are 0-60 and 1/4 mile
