Dual exhaust on spec v

i was thinking about doing a dual exhaust set up on my 2010 spec, but im not very car knowledgeable and it seemed to me as if this may actually make me lose some power. Any thoughts?

It could make u lose torque. other problem is will be the lack of room.On the passanger side of your rear bumper is the Evap canister. You would need to relocate it in order to add another muffler there.

yea that is what i was thinking was torque loss, do you think i would also lose torque if u just did a single pipe but upgraded to 3"?

There are a few people on allsentra that bought the Ebay 3" catback. Personally, i still think your gone lose too much backpressure, and thus, lose torque. Stock is 2.25". I recommend a max or 2.50" N/A. No one has yet dyno'ed the 3" exhaust, I could be wrong but i highly doubt it.

Not so much a backpressure loss issue resulting in loss of torque. Backpressure is bad regardless, but a poorly designed exhaust system doesn't allow for any scavenging effect to take place due to the pulse-like nature of the exhaust stream at low rpm.

Anyway, that aside, 3in is overkill and could lead to the loss of torque due to a lack of scavenging. 2.5 is plenty for an NA QR.

i just want to put on it whatever is gonna give me the biggest power gain, and if that is keeping the pipe 2.25" then i will just throw a muffler on it? cus I want the sound to be a little deeper
