I have most of those apps on my damn itouch loltige1981 wrote:I'm hooked on mine how do you like yours? I feel bad for all those iPhone owners. Pandora, imusic, where, ledlight, appkiller, pandahome there are so many
LOL My AT&T iPhone bill is cheaper then my VZW Bill (both unlimited data and text), PRAY you don't want to leave VZW since they jacked up the E.T.F.'s to keep you/us locked in (If the service was so great not really needed)..toxik wrote:try out layar, google skymap, talk to me, those are some off the top of my head.
btw, i love my droid... this phone is awesome and vzw is so much better than att, rip-off ***holes.
OK Thanks, but I thought it was called a MOBILE phone! Guess I can stay at home or starbucks all the timetige1981 wrote:You can talk and surf at the same time if you are on wi fi
umm okay, first off i signed up before the EFT went into effect. and it went into effect due to people buying storms and making a profit after the $100 cancellation fee.... so as much as it is ridiculous, it is also somewhat understandable... but like I said I don't have it so I don't care.08Coupe wrote:

I'm pretty much lovin it, along with everyone else who has checked out my phone... still getting used to the touch screen as my previous phone was a curve.tige1981 wrote:I'm hooked on mine how do you like yours? lols i find it funny how although the whole iphone vs. droid debate was inevitable... i had an inkling of hope that it wouldn't be taken there... second post couldn't have come any soonerjoshyth wrote:why did you have to bring iphone in? and fyi, iphone have most of those apps too, and even more apps for other things too........
cool, i will check those out and let you know how i like them. i honestly considered getting an iphone till i checked out the droid and suffice it to say, i'm glad i didn't follow thru.Mr.Coupe wrote:Advanced Task Killer is good and will stop apps from running in the backround while the phone is on standby to avoid your battery from running out faster. Mabilo Ringtones is a great app to get all the FREE ringtones you want. Shazam is a great music ID app. The greatest thing about the ones I mentioned is that they are ALL FREE. Go to Market, Apps, All applications and then Top Free and the list is EXTREMELY LLLLOOOONNNNNGGGG. I bought one for me and one for my wife a few weeks ago. These phones are the SIHT. Like 5 of my friends and 3 of my family members said they were going to close their account with AT&T and open one with Verizon just to get this phone. So far those 5 friends and 2 of my family members have done it. Funniest part is they all had iphones. I asked them where they were and they said they threw them out . iphones meet your match .

will also check those out.toxik wrote:try out layar, google skymap, talk to me, those are some off the top of my head.

Funny thing here. While I say the iPhone is a bit of hype (i-this i-that i-shmuck) and rip-off price tag (ooh touch screen - great so now I have finger prints all over the screen - pet peeve! haha) and anything else that comes out that might be better or equivalent will be quickly put down for any issues, I don't agree that AT&T isn't upgrading their service.toxik wrote:My friend showed me an app that AT&T released to notify them if you get a dropped call or bad service in a certain area, lol no app like that needed for the droid. I was reading about AT&T always saying that they are upgrading their network, the only problem is that they are not at all http://www.att.com/Investor/Gr...9.pdf -"Their Q309 report shows that although they've consistently made more money on data since 2007 - because of this "iPhone" thing they have - they have also consistently spent less and less money on network upgrades quarter after quarter."
I'm an accountant, and numbers don't lie. If you have an increase in Data usage and you'd be stupid not to agree that the iPhone has brought a ton of new users to the AT&T network, taking up 3G bandwidth..., then spending less and less money each quarter to improve your network is never going to be good. Now money is being spent, network is being improved but when you have one number going up (data usage), meanwhile the network improvement number is going down when it should be parallel to the data usage number.... something's not right, and it shows frankly. Whatever is being done, is not enough.CoupeVQ35CVT wrote:

I work for a company that in turn works for AT&T (and Verizon, T-Mobile etc) which does exactly that, expand and improve their 3G network with people literally on the ground driving routes that do exactly that - collect and report on data/call coverage. In fact we have also have teams working hard in NY/NE to make sure you don't get dropped calls or other quality issues. Now I'll say this, it may not be the best process, it's slow, but it is improving.
As for Verizon, I say anything that can give the iPhone a run for the money (hell it's a frackin' overpriced phone because it's made by Apple and you're a slave to ATT if you want to use it unless you can unlock it) deserves some credit.
Well I'm a lowly logistics manager type person so I won't argue with whatever facts and figures you have. I was merely pointing out that we have been busy this year, more so than last year improving and expanding ATT coverage. But yah I suppose someone's getting a litttle complacent with all that iPhone income? hehe.toxik wrote:
I won't argue the whole iPhone vs. Droid though, both have pros and cons, it's a matter of personal choice. For example, I don't want to have a phone that ever 14 year old girl in this country owns.

i used the first storm for a short period and didn't like it too much, they fix all the bugs and lag for it?
not gonna lie, thanks to the droid, my bathroom breaks at work have grown exponentially longer
Most likely because everyone you know uses it for personal use...toxik wrote:lol everyone i know with a BB only has it for BBM, they don't care about functionality.
!!!I second this quote!!! its very true.. in my dept we have 4 analyst that have the Iphone and 1 that has the Droid.. Dont get me wrong, the Iphone is cool as $hi* and the droid does some amazing stuff but comparing them side by side and based on personal use and not some useless app, the BB storm 2 won hands down.. Neither the Iphone or Droid was compatible with our IM and email (including MMS) calendar service. I have a ton of meetings on a daily basis and its nice to have all my meetings on my phone and notify me 15min prior. The Iphone or Droid cant do that. So my BB storm 2 provides essintial function(s) that the other phones dont.marlin29311 wrote:

I personally don't care about all the garbage apps the iPhone and Droid have, I care about functionallity, which the BB does better than anyone. Though I am envious of Droid screen...that thing is beautiful.

yes, the screen is amazing, i've already used my droid to watch a few movies during my down time... but bigger and brighter screen = more battery consumption. i suppose i can take the good with the bad.marlin29311 wrote:
