i finally got my motor to my house after the failed swap with that guy..... now its back to square one. Now i have to get my car back. Heres the problem.. the guy "who knew what he was doing" bent this thing that holds my driveshaft up.. he unbolted one of em but left the other bolt in and just bent it back to get my driveshaft to drop and seperate from the transmission. I know i dont know what im talking about but thats the only thing i can call it by.. i could get a picture later but.... because of this i cant even tow my car back to my house. Not to mention i still have to grind off one of my mounts cause the bolt seems bent in it.... i got a lot of stupid **** to put up with in this swap... lol ..

My question is.... what is that little piece of metal that is curved and holds the driveshaft up? how can i get a replacement?

It's called a Carrier bearing and you'll have to hit the junkyards. Sorry to hear about your mis-fortune!

Just don't give up on the CA man. It's a great motor and you'll love it.

As for the driveshaft thing. There are actually 2 "U" shaped things, top and bottom. Then the bearing goes in there, but it will only go in one way. When you get both peices out, you'll see what I mean.

Like I said, I don't think you can put it in wrong. It will only go in one way.
