Hey, I bought the Haynes Repair book to be able to maybe repair my driver side window that won't power down or up! It is up now, thank god, it's winter. And I can hear the Motor lift something inside up & down when I use the Button. But the window doesn't budge. And read that it might NOT be the motor but the "regulator".... ??

I looked up prices for a regulator, just not sure I can do it myself. Anybody out there have any experience with this same problem and could give me some pointers, PLEASE! I may be a woman but I know my tools and don't mind getting dirt under my nails, OK? Thanks. HDBabe

Call your dealer, there was a TSB on the power windows on late 2002 models. Might be able to get it fixed on the cheap.

Replacing regulators is a bugger. it's more likely the power window motor and a stripped out gear inside or something like that.

nissan uses cables and slides not gears to drive the window up and down, dont ask me why. Take off your door panel and have a look inside, I bet the cable broke. peace.
