Driver's Power Window Died!

Hi:

I had to drive home in the wonderful storm last night we got here in Connecticut with my driver's door window covered with plastic! I went to the drive-in window at the bank on my way to work, before it snowed and I put the window down, did my banking, pulled away from the drive-in and the window would NOT go up! All I got was a wonderful " short-circuit" kind of buring smell and a little whisp of smoke from the switch! I hope this is not a sign of things to come. I'm going to take it in to the dealer tomorrow morning. Sure hope they can fix it! I will have to say I was very pleased with how it handled the bad roads. Wish me luck!

I bet the window mechanism caught some plastic wrapper which i think the dealer should have taken off before you drove off the lot.

Hi:

Got the window fixed at the dealer yesterday. They said the motor had burned out. Luckily, they had one in stock. I was in and out of the dealer in about an hour.Now that we have some more snow and ice here in CT today I'm going to take it out to the local pizza joint!
