Drive Shaft Lengths for 5 Speed transmission

Hi all, In a couples of days i will be doing a 4 Speed transmission to 5 Speed transmission conversion in my 1988 Nissan pickup 2WD and i am just curious if I need to shorten the drive shaft? like do the 4 Speed transmission differ from the 5 Speed transmission? (Length or Size) please someone reply ASAP

Lay the transmissions side by side and measure the difference in total length. The difference will how much you will need to shorten/lengthen the driveshaft.

transmissions are the same length, driveshaft will fit either. only difference in trannies are the 5th gear
