You may not be able to get the car sideways and *keep it that way*, but boy you sure can get her sideways long enough to have some FUN. I am getting good at this peg-leg drifting thing. When I get my vlsd I am gonna have to learn it all over agian, great.

Rain and snow is how I learned. Snow is really fun. You just slide forever.

Yeah a Kaaz 2 way is definately worth money and I believe if you obtain a new model one you don't have to buy new halfshafts like I did.

Yea, well I want a car I can safely drive on the street. A 2way may kinda prevent that. I dont want to drift everytime I turn.

I drifted in the snow this past winter and wooooow

Umm trust me putting a 2 way LSD isn't going to make you drift every corner. I have the kaaz 2 way LSD on my car and it's a daily driver and I live in washington so I drive it in the rain all the time.

so do you think drifting with an open diff is even worth trying(out of the rain, like on a track)? i seem to do ok, but i know it would help to have a lsd. personally i dont drive my car in the snow except for fun ;)

i drift with my crappy open diff, its not all that difficult, i just tend to rely on putting more speed through the turn so i can stay sideways. *saving up for a kaaz 2-way*

My friend Chip won last months e-town mini comp and he's peg leggin it. and alot of other peglegs are geting as good as the guys w/ 2-ways. so yeah get out there and drift tha hell out of it. but when u get a 1.5 or 2 way u will kind of have to re learn to drift. but u will do a million times better.

p.s Fuk Kazzm, go deftforce!!!

I personally dont drift with my car with its dry just because it doesn't stay sideways. Maybe having my huge rubber doesn't help either, but with my car it will get sideways but wont stay there.

And maybe getting a kaaz 2way would be a smart idea, but I dont have that much money, I'm not that hardcore of a drifter, and I have just heard to many horror stoires about peoples cars getting squirley when they dont want it to. vlsd is fine for me.

i still have the open diff and its fine to drift with. you wont have to relearn everything when you get lsd. it'll be easier.

i had lsd in my old hachi and it was pretty easy. the 240 is just as easy. just keep practicing and when you get yer lsd you'll be able to pick up on things faster. :)

The kick-out is more aggressive and/or harsh w/ a vlsd. Its insane how much difference there was between mine and my buddies '96 240 w/ vlsd.

do you try and drift once in a great while? cause a real lsd is better than any vlsd.

I've noticed thats its easier to drift with an open back end. The cars tends to straighten its self out alot easier thatn it is with without the open back end.

what? even straightening out is smoother with an lsd on either car. an open diff is an open diff no matter what car youre in. open diff's = poop

THats just what I've noticed. But again I drove a 240 for 3 years. I've had the Supra for 2 months. So you could be right. I'm not used to the Supra yet

You could just do what I did and weld up an open diff. It'll never slip!!!!!! It's a little rough aroung town but sure is easy to pitch it side ways.

a welded diff wont break round town, and can handle drifting?? i was always told that it wouldnt last. do u have to check the welds often? i am just curious.
