If you have a 1996, go get the ECU codes checked. It should give you an idea where to go better than pre 1995. OBDII is a very good system that better directs what is needed to be fixed, but it also follows the same line of checking connectors, and anything else that connects before it.
If you state the TPS is coming up, check the wirirng and connectors first, but if all looks good, more than likely the TPS has failed or has a dead spot. There is ways to check if the TPS is functioning correctly, Im not sure if its the same as pre 1995. On the main page there is "everything you need to know about the Z32", read through that. It also has a FSM that you can look through.
