Ok I'm just sick of driving an AUTOTRAGIC Z. It seems like i poured so much money down the drain with the MODS i put in. I seriously want a MANUAL but I'm just stuck with this credit union I owe like $14000 to. I just saw this Z on the http://www.cars.com/go/search/...=true

and thinking of trading my car in for that. My car has the same amount of mileage but its a 2003. I already called them but they scheduled me to bring my car in on friday. I just have a feeling I will get ripped off by at least $3-4 grand if I trade my 03 in for theirs. What do you guys think? I just want to pay a difference of $1,000-$1,500 thats it for a swap with the car. A/T to 6 speed and a year newer.

im not sure what that is, but AT LEAST an '06. Good call soup. Find out why they lied about the year or if it was just an honest mistake. Although there is no such thing as an honest mistake in selling cars.

FWIW, the Carfax for the VIN they list says it's a 2004.

BLAH! I thought they just swapped the rims out. Damn this really blows because a REAL 350z should be driven stick and I just made a big waste getting an AUTO. One of the biggest regrets I ever had.

go to kbb.com and look up dealer trade in, for your car then find average retain for the car you are looking to get, the amount of difference there is about what you can expect, you might be able to narrow the gap a bit but not by too much, you'd be better off trying to sell your car to a private party, and when is does sell you can go buy the manual trans car of your liking

carfax is clean, they probably have a white 04 and had a white 06 and just posted the pics up they had on file. They also have a silver 04 with 72k miles. Also a touring model. The listings say 2004 350Z touring, FWD - LOL

edit: What ever you have to return it to stock, keep as many of the mods as possible. If you can't use them on the manual (?) then sell them.

I also think they just posted a pic of a 06 350Z that was on file.

+1 On keeping all the mods and returning your auto Z to as close to stock as possible before trading.

The only thing I could take it is the Pioneer deck/injen intake and test pipes. Other than that I have smoked headlights/tails/lip/ aut eyelids and nismo wing. Also I really don't want to sell it through private because its going to be another hassle selling it and not only that but I will have to pay off my lender then have to go through another loan with them.

Its your money. If selling it private will get you another thousand then its worth it? Thats 80 hours of work for me...

Yeah thing is I hate waiting. I'm a very impatient guy and I've tried craigslist like a few months ago and couple were interested but not TOO INTERESTED to check it out in person. Damn I just hate thinking about how much money i put down the drain getting an AUTO and fixing it up. Damn another problem in life. Paying for something I'm not satisfied with!

A swap will eventually cost more and lower the vehicles value. My question to you RICHIE is are you proud of your AUTO 08 Z?

Talk about a loaded question. If he answers yes, he gets flamed to the tiniest ash. No, then he hates his new Z. Now a question from me. Is your autotragic messed up. Car just does'nt perform? What's so tragic about it?

To tell you the truth I was impressed when I first got it. Now that its been almost a year I've had it I'm just not feeling the same way as I'd rather drive a 6 speed than an AUTO Z. Just doesn't feel like I'm driving a Z at all since I drove my friend's 6 speed Z and it felt alot different and funner and sounded better going through the clutch.

ur problem is you have a 350z and auto probably doesn't help either.

i would trade it in for an s2000. i GUARANTEE you will have a ton of more fun with that car and you can find early model ap1's 00-01's for like 12k now.

S2000? They are ok but I just love the sound of the VQ motor and the looks of the Z better. What makes s2000's more fun to drive than the Z?

Where in CA are you located?

I'm willing to do a little gamble with you if you're close enough and game. I'll install a grounding kit on your Z with no commitment from you. If you like it, you can keep it for a small price and you tell the forum what you think.

If you don't like it, I'll uninstall it and buy you lunch.

I drive a 6mt G35 and I've driven auto G35s with my kits on them and I was still pretty impressed with the Autos (btw, I almost bought an STI because I hated the autos so much initially).

Sorry for the T/J, but I think you can fix your problem pretty easily.

Updates you guys. I checked out the white Z yesterday and the worker there was a joke. I got there and he was only offering $10,000 for my car and my car is in better condition than the white Z. It's just that my car is a year older and 1,000 miles more. However I just told him I'll go back there next time and yeah I guess I'm better off selling it on craigslist but I doubt anyone would want an AUTOMATIC 03 Z. I just have to appreciate my car since its a Z and just ignore the automatic transmission. Damn this blows!

trade in value good condition for an 03 with 60 k miles is 11k , that'll vary a bit by area, so yeah he's in the ballpark, and I've sure they want retail for this car would be about 18k, that sound pretty close to where they were? this is what you'd have found if you had gone to KBB like I suggested in the earlier post
