DOHC to SOHC Swap.

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

If someone wanted to convert a KA24DE chassis to a single cam would there be any additional wiring invloved? I'm pretty sure that when going from E to DE there are extra wires left over in the SOHC chassis. Would these need to be re-ran in the DOHC chassis? I've heard that they were for some sort of diagnostic plug on the SOHC. Thanks.

I have done this swap about 4 years ago in a old 240 of mine.

its very easy. if anybody can do this swap they can do an sr20 swap no problem.

all u need to do is get a sohc wiring harness and ecu, the only wiring splicing is on the dashboard harness plug, it needs to be changed.
