DOHC OR SOHC?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

i feel really stupid but how can i tell if it is a sohc or dohc? i have an 1989 S13 with only a 100xxx miles on it but on the valve cover it reads 2400 12 Valve..

Its a single. 89-90=sohc, 91 and up are dohc.
