ive heard of people putting dohc ka throttlebodys on the ca plenum, i guess all you have to do is hone out the plenum enough to fit the throttle body but it bolts up, im in the process of putting on my frontmount and i have a dohc tb but im not sure if its worth the work. what gains can i expect from this, overall the gains im looking for in my engine is a steady powerband and keep the begining of power band as low in rpm as possible.

any info helps thanks.

i also have an exhuast cam from a ca18de and have heard rumors also is that worth it?

It's the intake cam that supposedly gives more torque but dyno tests have shown little to nothing.

The KA TB will probabally hurt your low end actually. The DE cam is just a stupid rumor that's false. It IS different, but the difference is negligable, and nothing that would ever allow you to feel or see any difference.

if you were to take into account the cost of a stock Ca cam and the labor to change them you would be better off going with somthing else to add power like a extra psi or 5 of boost.

it wasn't even just a 1.6 or 1.8 DE cam that was any different, it was the non pollution control equipped sunny's IIRC in europe that had the cam that was different, otherwise 1.6 and 1.8 and DE and DET are all the same part #.
