doesn't the g35 sedan already have a semi cold air intake?

upon closer inspection of my 2004 g35 sedan it would appear that it already has a cold air intake. the intake is located in front of the radiator and takes in cooler air already. so my question is.... will the Stillen Z-tube intake kit that i ordered actually help all that much? it seems to me that it's an air filter replacement and that's about it. am i wrong?
