I just want to make sure I don’t run into any trouble: but cross referencing on Nissan and Infiniti parts deal, shows both use the same control arm lookup number.

However, I couldn’t find the ball joint specially for the Q45 sold anywhere. But when looking up 98 240SX, lots of places have them. So I went with that option.

Also the same control arm on the Nissan is over $200 less than the one for the Q45. No matter what site I went to, the LCA for the q45 is in the $400-$500 range. Just brought 2 with the ball joint and bushings on my 97 maxima for $25 each.

Anyhow, just asking because this will be a shop job and want to make sure I don’t waste their time if it doesn’t work.

I brought a moog one as well, but it’s for a 240xs. Same lower front control arm design.

For some reason when I use your lookup code on advance auto, it shows that it doesn’t fit. How did you notice that was the one to use?

Wait guys, are you saying the ball joints on q45 and m45 balljoints can be replaced alone without the whole LCA? I have been looking for how to get my balljoints replaced alone.

Just to confirm, the Moog K9818 ball joints can be used as replacements. I had a pair installed yesterday into the front lower control arms of my 2001 Q45t.

I recommend checking online for new old stock (NOS) Moog ball joints than buying anything Moog currently produces in China. The NOS Moog ball joints came without the zerk fittings and were manufactured in Japan; they're as OEM as you're going to find.
