Does a 1984 300ZX really tick?

I have owned many cars in my life. In all of them the turn indicator 'ticked' when operating. In my 300ZX it doesn't which is a pain when glare obscures my digital dash. Is this corect or should it tick and if so how to mend it?

I think its silent, but not really sure.

I'm pretty sure mine is adiible, have you verified taht the lights are in fact blinking? could be a bad turn signal switch or capacitor/relay or whatever you call that little bugger
