What's up guys.

I got a quick question; when I first got my Z there'd be fellow Z drivers that would drive by me and give me the thumbs up. I wasn't used to this so I would get all happy.

I tried doing this to other Z drivers. The last couple of times I did this they just blankly stare at my face. WTF?

Do you guys still give other Z drivers the thumbs up?

I'd pay anything for a blank stare. I get kissy face from a lot of guys... from hot and young which is perfectly fine =), to wrinkly old men that's a little to creepy... =(

See I told you that a week ago. You will get used to it, but the creepy old men is kinda funny. Thats what the young boys that do it are going to end up like so ponder that one for awhile.

Lol! That's funny! I don't really have to worry about that one. I'll be old and creepy by that time as well. Heck, I'm getting old and fat as it is. They just don't see it from their car. Lol!

years back there was a movement to "save flash" Z drivers used to flash their lights at one another in passing, my GF drives a MINI and MINI drivers are forever waving at each other

If its a guy I always give a little wave but if its a girl I don't cause to them its just a good looking car, and more then likely they aren't a huge z enthusiast like a I am. I almost always get a wave back. This one old guy like a month ago started laughing and then gave me a thumbs up. I have also got thumbs up from a guy in a red g35.

i give the wave, seems to be people flashing their lights means they want to race or there is a cop ahead, around here.... also i dont see many Z's on this side of town but when i do they usually wave and smile/giggle just like me then i give them a little noise, but i don't rev i just down shift and take off... reving is so ricer, you rev a car that doesn't go fast... right?.... oh and i only give the thumbs up to vipers and vettes that deserve it....

You should see the looks I get when I throw a out the driver side window...talk about blank stares. No but really, just throw a peace sign out the side window, or the "flashing" of the headlights is coming back around here too.

I haven't gotten into the wave thing yet. I suppose if someone waved to me I would wave back but as far as me initiating the wave I don't think it would happen. I have had one guy wave before but I reacted to slowly to wave back. Flashing headlights around here is definately only used for cops.

Yea about that, along time ago when me and my pops were out on the interstate, we passed up a white limo that I'm assuming was FILLED with blonde playboy models..(well they were all young and bright haired)..anywhoo every time someone would pass the stretch up a girl would roll down the window and stick her fanny and all out. It was a funny cause sometimes i saw the same car "accidentally" slow down and keep up with the limo.

ZOMG ricer noob.....First off you get WORSE gas mileage in manumatic.....keep it in D chief. Secondly, to REV at someone you NEED to be in park or neutral....That's not you REVVING it, it's you letting the computer rev match and just get crappier gas mileage to try and act cool.

I've always wondered, when your in park are you really just in a neutral with a brake engaged? Cause I know when your in a GTI equipped with dsg Park is basically the same as neutral but you you can actually remove the key and have to rip up the parking brake.

..puts on fire suit.

Nah, there's a mechanism in an automatic transmission that locks the transmission in place. That's why you have both an e-brake AND a park setting. Here's a breakdown of how it works. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/...5.htm

How stuff works is great, it's good for learning......how things work?

I don't think anyone would flame you for asking a question about the working of a car, you're trying to learn .
