Nope.

Carfax will show claims filed.

But some states don't report things where carfax would show them.

So I hear...

True...

Mostly only accidents severe enough to affect the registration status of the vehicle.

thats funny.. I've had mine for a while and have 5,000 miles on it and the only problem that i've had is that somehow the shifter boot keeps getting some kind of grease on it from somewhere

Already bought a Versa. Had it for a few months now... no clutch problems. No problems of any sort actually.

That's funny. Mine has that too!! It's on the right side of the shifter, right? Where the leather forms a crevice? I wiped mine out and it seems to be better. I think it's due to the cables attached to the reverse safety thingy.

Aside from that my car has been trouble free. VW's are nice cars but not very reliable. And what an immature way to act in a place of business. If they didn't want to help you I could see acting hot headed but it sounds like you need an attitude adjustment. Whatever you do for a living, I'd like someone to come in and act the same way you did.

Best of luck with VW and their dealerships. VW Dealer Service is well known to be the worst in the industry. Only Mercedes and a couple others have worse reliability that VW. Nissan typically scores lower on reliability that some others but it's still near the upper half of the list.

Your problem was with the ASCD switch as noted above.
Just an FYI.....I talked to my service guy yesterday and asked him about the ASCD switch in my car. Asked him if they had to replace it or adjust it. It was just an adjustment and he said once they were actually able to get to my car, it took all of about 15 or 20 MINUTES to fix the problem.

Oh, if your power outlet stops working - check the fuse - duh.... Don't jiggle your phone charger or mp3 plug in the outlet - will cause the fuse to blow.
