Alright.... I did a little research here, and I wanna know what you guys think......

I got on 3M's website, and apparently they sell stuff to do fuel rail flushes......

Take a look at this site.......Click here for 3M

Anyway, they basically tell you what you need......

I compiled this list of stuff..... These are all buyer part numbers off 3M's website

08920- Adaptor08828- Adaptor cleaning hose08955- 120 PSI solvent can08828- Fuel regulator valve, extension hose, etc.......

Also it seems as if they make a KIT for our car, PN: 08816, but I cant make any confirmations on this.....

This seems as if we can get all these things for under 200, we only have to do 2 flushes and it has already paid for itself..... This also seems good as we can adjust the fuel pressure as necessary..... Finally, we could use it on ANY car we needed, all you gotta do is go Here and it will tell you what adaptors and stuff you need.......

Let me know what you think!!!!

I also forgot to mention..... They sell kits of all different kinds of adaptors, but they give a number so you can buy individual adaptors so you dont have to buy the whole thing......

Also, then we need to figure out where to get this stuff, as 3M doesnt sell it online......

I wouldn't associate "golden" and "flush" in the same sentence. :pface

The Nissan dealership where I had my Q45 Envirolutioned uses the 3M injector rail flush.

Would you know of a place online where I could look into the pricing of this stuff......

Id say an average fuel rail flush costs 80-100...... I vaguely remember seeing the hose kit thing for like $25, and the regulator for not much more.... Id assume the adapter would be $1 or so (its just a fitting), and the solvent would be like $30....... Even if it comes to something like $100 for all the stuff, you still save yourself tons of money......

My preference is for a kit that uses a shop air supply for pressure, because then you don't limit yourself to one brand of cleaner, that has a certain pressure, and with a certain kind of high-pressure connection. I haven't looked into it quite enough yet, but with a little bit of jury-rigging, such a kit should be able to be modified to attach to a spray nozzle for atomizing injector cleaner into the intake.

I called my local BG rep and the price quoted was in the $250-300 range for the BG flush kit. This is supplied by compressed air. I'll probably buy one soon...

Since the fuel injectors see 34 psi most often and 43 psi only at WOT. The ability to vary and increase pressure to 50-55 psi during PART of the process is invaluable.

The difference in flow is 25% faster at 55 psi so don't hurry the process too much..........11 ounces can flow fast with higher than 650-750 idle rpm and higher pressures.

The flush kit also has the fogger nozzle for cleaning the plenum and runners.

How about just pouring some solution into the fuel filter and running it. Wouldn't this accomplish the same thing?

At first, but the solution would get diluted with gas as the engine ran. More importantly, you'll get at most 43 psi by disconnecting the regulator vacuum; the procedure is best when the rail pressure is elevated.

I like the injector flush. Its a great way to break your engine mounts.

Has anyone tried the Run-Rite kit? $69 plus shipping. They also do the service at Pep Boys using the kit for $89. Would pay for itself with one use. I don't think I'd trust Pep Boys with my car.

I had a cadillac technician recommend the run rite kit to me..... Might not be a bad idea looking into that!

Looks like a pressurized canister... can't tell for sure though. I'd buy it and use the BG flush... if it'll work that way.
