distributor timing

i have a 96 ka24e, i recently purchased the engine was rebuilt. i noticed the engine missing and replaced the dist cap and rotor when i was replacing the plug wires i noticed they were backwards 4,2,1,3. when i place them in the right order the engine wont start . any ideas ?

Did you DOUBLE CHECK to make sure the you plugged ALL the wires back in, not just the plug wires?

ye sure even pulled dist made sure 1 was at tddc the dist seem to be 180 deg out. ?
