I see they offered cloth seats for the Q45 in Japan, but this was never an option in the US. I dislike leather, because it is hot in the summer and cold during the winter! Are there any cloth seats from other Nissans that will fit? Also, I would prefer manual controls, as the power ones are so heavy and unlikely that any other seat would work with the controls.

I have seen some Lexus LS400s with cloth seats for sale recently, so this gave me the idea to look for this for my car.

I don't think anything is a direct bolt-in.

Anything can be adapted with sufficient effort and skill and money, but if temperature concerns are your only reasons, I'd buy a set of good sheepskins and call it good.

I was wondering if any other seats will bolt to the frame rail like the S14 seats. Those are pretty decent. Not looking to spend a lot for this swap. Sheepskin seems like it would super hot during the summer, but great during the winter.

Dunno. I drove a G50 in Phoenix for a few years, always liked the seats.

S14 seats in good shape are hard to come by, and will cost you more than seat covers. That's a lot to spend for an experiment.

I actually just had a mint pair that I sold with my S13. They are not too expensive around here, since there is a pretty good supply and people are always upgrading/parting out. I still have my S13 Vert, so I will look at them, should be the same seat to frame pattern.

You can import a set from you guessed it, Japan. Many ways to do it. Find a part out. Ship them by boat 2-6 months. But then again you gotta pay the middle man. A few years back I used bring parts over. Used to rent an ISO 8 footer. Slap a PO # on it and buy buy buy. I stopped because the fees started getting ridiculous. Bank transfer fees, foreign transaction fees. Blah blah. It CAN be done.

I hear you on the leather. 92 degrees yesterday HUMID. Yeah yeah nothing compared to the southwest. I have blue leather it is I guess essentially black. <not to offend anybody....

I recently got a seat from England for my other car (another car that only came with leather in the US) for just over $100 including shipping. It only took a week to get here! Unfortunately, Ebay is not popular in Japan. However, maybe I can contact one of these car importers and see if they could throw it on one of their containers.

Any sort of shipping outside of the US is down right amazing. I get parts quicker from Japan than any place in this country. So. Cloth seats with leather interior panels and accoutrements? Not my style but you maybe?

"Car importers" only car about cars. They wont give you the time of day unless you are shipping a car. Been there before.

Why would you put the smaller and more low budget seats from a 12-15k new Nissan into a 50k new Infiniti. I had leather seats for 3 years living in PHX, sheepskins were great for the 9 months of summer, give them a try, for $400 you solve the problem and keep your nicer seats.

Because all of the "low budget" Nissan seats I have had in the past fit me better than the current seat. I really felt comfortable with my Sentra SE seats and S14 seats. Apparently, the Japanese folks did not mind them at all, since most luxury cars over there came standard with cloth and leather was a lot more rare.
ATL summers are worse than PHX summers, we have heat and humidity! I lived in Santa Fe for a while and have done testing in Death Valley, so I know the difference!
