Differences between 2wd and 4wd starter?

Hi, apologize if this is somewhere i coudnt find it using the search function. I need to know if i can use a 2wd starter in a 4wd in a 94 nissan d21 base 4 cyl. The price differnce is quite large with the 4wd being almost double the 2wd model.

I bought and put it in. Advice take the tire off it was a complete pain in the butt. It works fine. I can tell it has a little less oomph than the original but it starts every time.
